New Partnership with Sphere Energy

We are delighted to announce that Sphere Energy Connect (part of Scottish Power Group) has appointed C&C Group as its strategic partner for IDNO market entry, IT systems, and associated operational managed services.

This appointment reflects the confidence placed in C&C Group to support complex market participation at a time when regulatory and operational expectations across the sector continue to increase.

Following a detailed commercial and technical evaluation of our delivery capability, information security, and hosting resilience, Sphere Energy Connect selected C&C Group to support its route into the market.

The programme is already in delivery and marks our first market entry project delivered under the enduring assurance arrangements introduced through Market-wide Half-Hourly Settlement (MHHS). This reflects the increased assurance demands now shaping entry into regulated markets.

Both organisations are now working towards an ambitious August completion target, with delivery aligned to external audit windows and Performance Assurance Board (PAB) approvals.

This is an important strategic win for C&C Group, further strengthening our position as a trusted delivery partner to organisations entering and operating within regulated energy markets.
