What does it do?

​

SWIM-Pool shares Bilateral messages between Wholesalers and Retailers within the Non-Household Market allowing the sharing of information, requests and resolutions including exchanging meters.

​

Key features of SWIM-Pool include the –

​

  • SWIM-Pool connects internal systems with the Bilateral Hub enabling jeopardy management and reporting functionality.

​​

  • SWIM-Pool also comes with configurable inbuilt functionality which limits what transaction types can be sent to each environment, thus aiding the accreditation process.

​

  • By using the Market Data Set (MDS) SWIM-Pool matches SPID to customer address and validates processes prior to submission to the HUB.

​​

  • SWIM-Pool GUI and its underlying database provide and account for a clear separation of data sent and received from each environment. That means that a message marked as to be sent to the test environment via the API will only be sent to the test environment and any related messages received will also be marked as belonging to the test environment.

​​

  • Allows the user to switch which environment, and in the case of a user having access to more than one market participant - which market participant, is currently being displayed.

SWIM-Pool is used by Wholesalers and Retailers in the Non-Household Water Market. It can be used as a front end or as middleware to transfer all the electronic transactions involved in switching customers along with meter reads to provide water usage and settlement data.

What does it do?

​

SWIM-Settlement is made up of multiple modules which enable organisations to Independently validate MOSL and the CMA’s settlement, what-if modelling, revenue forecasting and retailer pricing.

​

Key features of SWIM-Settlement include the –

​

  • Calculation Module - responsible for calculating the settlement charges against the data provided in the Market Participant Data Set (MPDS) as per the respective Wholesale Tariffs (TRIF) in the Market.

​​

  • Mock SPID Calculator - This calculator allows the end-user to perform a mock calculation for a particular core from the MPDS allowing users to verify any discrepancies found in the Calculation and Reconciliation Workflows.

​​

  • Reconciliation Module - Responsible for comparing, the expected wholesaler charges generated by the System against the actual wholesaler charges generated by the Market Operator.

​​

  • Comparison Module – Responsible for comparing the Market Data Set (MDS) against the Market Participant Data Set (MPDS).

​​

  • Pricing Module – Allowing forecasting and tariff modelling based on the MDS data using the TRIF Wholesale and Base-Retail Tariffs.

​​

  • Extended Pricing Outputs - show the respective charges for each associated Tariff to the SPID under the Tariff Types, Wholesale Tariff, Base-Retail Tariff and Custom-Retail Tariff.

  • Tariffs – enabling the ability to view and download XML Tariffs

What does it do?

SWIM-ware connects Wholesalers and Retailers to the Central Market system for Scotland and England allowing the transfer of Primary Messages.

​

Key features of SWIM-ware include the –

​

  • Ability to send and receive data to and from the Scottish Central Market Agency (CMA) the English MO, Market Operator Services Limited (MOSL).

​​

  • Furthermore, within Scotland, the CMA provides a number of environments against which participant accreditation testing can be performed. Within the English Market a single environment is provided for testing purposes, with a separate environment for Production and a third environment for Disaster Recovery.

​​

  • SWIM-ware GUI and its underlying database provide and account for a clear separation of data sent and received from each environment. That means that a message marked as to be sent to the test environment via the API will only be sent to the test environment and any related messages received will also be marked as belonging to the test environment.
